I believe that the one crucial thing to
overcome racism is education. It is very important to inform yourself about
other cultures, countries, religions etc. and critically overthink the
stereotypical information you have heard and collected all your life. Just
because people are doing things differently doesn’t justify discrimination or
racism, because in their eyes, we are doing things differently.
Hair color, skin color, or the place people
were born doesn’t nearly describe who they really are – what counts is the
inside and what they are doing. So before prejudging someone just because they
are from a different country or culture, get to know them and put yourself in
their shoes – nobody likes to be left out or be treated differently!
The next step in overcoming racism would
be: Spread your knowledge. Tell your family, your friends about the information
that you’ve gathered and let them know what you have learned!
